The Father Andeweg Institute for the Deaf serves the deaf and hard of hearing community as multifaceted innovative institution dedicated to the development of intellect and the enhancement of quality of life, producing educated and self-directed citizens.

Vision Statement:

The Father Andeweg Institute for the Deaf will be leader comprehensive centre providing education and resources for deaf and hard of hearing individuals, their families, and educational partners in Lebanon and beyond.

Our Beliefs:

We share the belief that it is the responsibility of everyone at The Father Andeweg Institute for the Deaf to educate our students through a shared effort with our parents, students, teachers, staff and community in a safe and secure environment.

We recognize the need of all individuals to live in an accessible environment. At FAID, an accessible environment for deaf / hard-of-hearing children and adults includes the elimination of barriers to communication.

FAID strives to meet the needs of all deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals by creating an atmosphere that reflects their rights, integrity, and ability to communicate.

We will prepare students with the necessary skills required for them to live independently, obtain further education, and become valuable and active members of a community.
